Barometric altitude meter for RC plane models
Dujíček, Martin ; Klozar, Lukáš (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design barometric altimeter for RC plane models. During the flight the value from sensing element is stored in memory. After the flight and connect to computer it is possible to read or erase data from memory. Received data si possible to proces for example to graph.
Multifunctional altimeter
Lízner, Miroslav ; Neužil,, Tomáš (referee) ; Klusáček, Stanislav (advisor)
This bacheleor thesishis deals with pressure, humidity and teperature sensors to microcontroller connection possibilities. The main goal of this work is to develop the recording touristic altimeter. The hardware solution based on ATmega64 microcontroller and software implementation is described in practical part of this work.
Interpretation of altitude on topographic maps USA
Pavelková, Zuzana ; Hanzl, Vlastimil (referee) ; Plánka, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis aims to analyze the altitude interpretation of the topographic maps of the U.S. and to compare them with Czech topographic maps. I have obtained the source materials for completion of the thesis during the Work and Travel exchange program in the U.S. in 2012, which also inspired me to deal with this thesis topic. The most important producer of U.S. topographic maps is the national company United States Geological Survey, which uses the U.S. customary units based on the Anglo-American measurement system that make a significant difference when interpreting the altitude of U.S. topographic maps and Czech ones. The fact that American society does not use the metric system very much, results in the use of map scales that are unique and very unusual for topographic maps. Another important producer is the company Army Map Service. Since the U.S.A. and the Czech Republic are both member states of North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the production of military topographic maps strictly adheres to the NATO standards.
Creation of the thematic map in Microstation
Ondová, Natálie ; Berková, Alena (referee) ; Ježek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creating thematic map of settlement urban zone Vinohrady. Based on documents and materials and thanks to suitably chosen measuring methods, was realized mensuration of terrain. Than it was following calculations of the measured data in software environment Groma v.11 and creating list of coordinates of the detailed points and auxiliary measurement points. These points served as the basis for creating a thematic map. The development of this map took place in the software environment MGEO and Microstation V8i. The aim of the work was creation a 1:500 purpose thematic map.
Data Processing from GPS Receiver
Srnec, Pavel ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Dvořák, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about data processing from GPS receiver, specifically about surface maps. In the beginning part, principles of GPS technologies and NMEA protocol are described to understand calculation actual position on the map using geographic coordinates. It analyses communication with GPS receiver, data processing to maps and display position. Concept and implementation of final application, which is proposed as graphical user interface, is descibed. Application has been tested in terrain with GPS receiver u-blox 5 and results behavior application are at the end of bachelor. As a result of the bachelor, executed targets and requierement is summarized and possibilities of uprading project are analysed.
The Peak and the Territory
Mlynarčík, Štefan ; Smetana, Matěj (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The thesis is focused on symbolic revision of altitudes and border points of Tatra peaks. The subtle gesture disturbs exact and unambiguous textbook perception of a peak´s height. The thesis is happening on the given summits, the material used on their „growth“ and „transfer“ originates exclusively from immediate surroundings. The period of new summit´s existence is exposed to various weather conditions, eventualy to human factor, thus we can consider it as undetermined in terms of time. The issue consists of 5 video documentations of actions on the given Tatra peaks. The thesis is not exhausted by this. On the contrary, it promises spontaneous long-termed continuation.
Creation of the thematic map in Microstation
Valachovič, Patrik ; Berková, Alena (referee) ; Ježek, Jiří (advisor)
The final bachelor work aims to create a map of a city district Brno-Líšeň in map scale 1:500. Bachelor work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter describes the characteristic of measured methods that were used. The second chapter is about measurement preparation and work materials. The third chapter describes the processing part of the calculation of measured data in a programming environment Groma v.11. Finally, in the fourth chapter, there is a graphic part which is situated in a programming environment MGEO and Microstation V8i.
Track's Elevation Profile View on a Public GIS
Doubal, Štěpán ; Šilhavá, Jana (referee) ; Fapšo, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the design and implementation of a user script for GreaseMonkey (plug-in for Firefox). This script adds a functionality to show height profile of a defined route. The route is defined using public GIS tools from www.mapy.cz. The script extracts coordinates from page DOM structure, processes it and draws a height graph. The graph is created using http://www.heywhatsthat.com/profiler.html [2] or www.profile.hy.cz, which provides height graph drawing using www.vyskopis.cz JavaScript API [4].
Selected impacts of climate change on birds in European mountains: shifts in altitudinal distribution, population changes and changes in phenology
Mikulcová, Eliška ; Reif, Jiří (advisor) ; Hološková, Adriana (referee)
Many studies focused on the impact of the climate change on organisms including mountain birds. Mountain birds are particularly threatened by the impact of climatic change because they occur in an extreme environment. Climate change impacts mountain birds through increasing temperature, which affects their altitudinal shifts and abundances. These two variables depend also on species-specific traits, distribution area and habitat change. This thesis aims to sort knowledge about impacts of climate change on mountain birds and to explain the variability of altitudinal shifts of these species. Species occupying lower altitudes, open habitat species and short-lived species showed the biggest upward shifts. Downward shifts occurred when the impact of habitat change outweighed the impact of climate change. No significant shifts were recorded in species that respond to climate change by changes in phenology which likely compensate the adverse climate change impacts without the need of translocation. Population trends were usually negative with the steepest declines in high- alpine species, ecological specialists, long-distance migrants and short-lived species. In order to reduce decline in numbers, it is important to set up effective local vegetation management and globally stick to climate targets. Key...
The methods of training in high-altitude conditions
Polívka, Tomáš ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Šteffl, Michal (referee)
Title: The Methods Of Training In High-Altitude Conditions Aim: The aim of the study was to summarize published information on the issue of training methods in high mountain conditions and to determine whether the current use of methods can positively affect the performance of athletes. It includes findings from the history and current use of methods to achieve adaptive changes in the body. Methods: The method used in the bachelor thesis was document analysis and electronic database search. Results: We found that high-altitude training in both natural and artificial conditions improves oxygen transfer, red blood cell volume and maximal oxygen consumption VO2max. Thus, it can positively influence the performance of athletes when certain factors associated with hypoxic training are respected. We have also found that there is a considerable amount of scientific literature on the subject, which continues to grow, but the evidence is by no means conclusive. Keywords: Hypoxic training, altitude, performance, adaptation, acclimatization
